Wow, what a night!

Two very out-of-the-ordinary things happened around here last night. One of those things was super special and awesome, but the other was not so awesome.. I'll get to that one first I think.

You see, about a year and a half ago my partner and I moved to the rough end of a little beach side community, but were fortunate enough to move into a gated apartment complex with a lock up communal garage and quiet neighbours who kept to themselves. This didn't last for long though, and as our old neighbour moved out, new neighbours moved in.. new, in-and-out of prison, like to have a domestic every night type of neighbours. :| After a while we started to get used to them (I was almost amused by their constant screaming sessions) but then last night happened. Screaming, crying, locking one another out of their apartment, then crying some more.. it lasted for roughly 5 hours until one of them appeared to drive off and the other one went back inside. I had no idea of what was really going on until this morning. I was on my way down to the communal garage when one of the said neighbours stopped me and told me to check whether anything of ours had been stolen from downstairs.. according to my neighbour their partner broke into everyone's cars last night and stole anything that people had been storing downstairs! Fortunately we'd had a bit of flooding earlier this year and moved anything valuable back upstairs.. but B's car had been broken into along with about six others who ended up having thousands of dollars worth of stuff stolen. :( The police have been called and will be coming by to take fingerprints and stuff soon, so hopefully some of our fellow neighbours can at least get some of their stuff back.. hopefully!

On a more positive note, I managed to score myself 4 new designs jobs last night. :D I'm now booked up until the 22nd of May, but if you do happened to be interested I'm currently offering 25% off all basic and complete blog designs until the 30th of June. :) For more information, feel free to check out my design page: www.pursuitoffelicitydesigns.com I am so thrilled to be creating these new designs and can't wait to show them all off throughout the next few weeks. :D

I hope you're all having a fantastic week so far and that you all stay safe!

  7. Loved your comment on my blog about a bloggy friendship! :)
I cannot believe you had neighbours like that. I have no idea how people's lives can become so dysfunctional, and how that can affect everyone else around them. It's really sad. I live in a fairytale where I want everyone to be friends or just not bother each other at all haha. I hope it all sorts out for you soon. I have neighbours who're a bit insensitive at times. They play the worst music from about 10pm until 2pm the next day. Full blast throughout the whole night! But everyones too scared to say anything in case it just provokes them further to annoy everyone. Ugh. People!

Sorry for this mini essay! :)

    1. Aw, yay! Bloggy friendships are the best. :D

Yeah, I know what that's like. So many times I've wanted to yell at them to "Shut the f**k up!!" but I was scared that they would try to get back at us somehow.. and given the circumstances, I believe I was right to think so! :P

Thanks for popping by Laura. :)

  8. Me and my fiancé are fortunate to live at a very lovely high-rise building with lovely neighbors... we do not go out late at night alone though cause the area where we live have a reputation of being quite violent at nights.... I am happy that they didnt steal anything from you but to break in to the cars like that is awful :/ Hopefully whats stolen will come back :)

    hugs
